Life can be almost too much to figure out sometimes

Truly—I’ve been there.

For many years, I longed to find my soulmate. I searched across the world, always hoping that the next connection would be the one.

I found love in India. It felt magical. Fated. I followed that love all the way to America, believing with all my heart that I had found the life I’d been dreaming of.

But what followed was confusion, contradiction, and a slow unraveling.

Love turned into something unclear… then unstable… then untrue.

I felt lost, disoriented, and heartbroken—not just because of that person, but from the loss of the dream I’d been chasing.

This totally killed my self confidence. This had happened after a couple of previous relationship failures and now I felt like I couldn’t trust myself.

Then one morning, standing in a tiny kitchen in a place that never quite felt like home, I found myself staring at a cup of tea I didn’t want, next to a man I didn’t recognize anymore.

His words were kind, but seemed hollow. Everything felt muted, like I was watching my own life from the outside.

I had travelled across the world for love—India (where I had studied and worked as a singer-another story) then America—and somehow, I’d lost more of myself with every mile.

That morning, something cracked open.

It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t loud.

It was just this quiet, overwhelming knowing:

“This isn’t it. This isn’t love. This isn’t my truth.”

And in that stillness, I realised—I had been waiting for someone else to define my worth, my joy, my direction.

It was in that difficult place that I finally turned inward—and upward.

I stopped asking for signs from the outside, and instead built a strong, unwavering connection to Spirit.
